Editorial policy

What we publish, how we decide, and what we do when we get it wrong.

Independence

Space Mushroom does not sell materials, take payment for placement or accept sponsored content. A manufacturer's datasheet is treated like any other source: its values are shown with the conditions it states, and we say when a figure is a supplier's typical value rather than a guaranteed minimum.

Accuracy first

We would rather publish fewer values than unverified ones. Anything we cannot find in its cited source is removed. Pages that do not reach our depth standard stay out of search until they do.

Use of AI

AI assistants help read sources and draft profiles and articles. Their output is checked automatically against the sources, and nothing is published that fails those checks. We say so openly because readers should know how the content is made. See the methodology.

Corrections

If you find a value that does not match its source, tell us through the contact page. We check the source, correct or remove the value, and update the page's modified date. Material changes are recorded in the public commit history.
